Russells Construction scoops main contractor of the year at The Building and Engineer Awards

Manchester based Russells Construction received the Main Contractor of the Year award at the 9th Annual Building and Engineer Awards which took place at Lancashire County Cricket Club, with over 500 professionals from the construction industry in attendance. The national award named Russells Construction as the Main Contractor of the Year (up to £40million category). The awards recognise the industrys stand-out acheivements of the past 12 months.

Portview fits out the UK’s first Montreux Jazz Café

The first Montreux Jazz Café in the UK has been fitted out by Portview on the third floor of Harrods in the heart of London. The £1.1m contract saw Portview complete the 3,000 sq ft fit out in 12 weeks. The project involved stripping back three existing retail units to their original shells to make space for the new Montreux Jazz Café as well as two smaller shops - the Montreux Jazz Shop and a unit offering an exclusive line of official Montreux Jazz Festival products and luxury Parmagiani watches, known as ‘Claude’s Collection’.

Portview’s client base grows with new Harvey Nichols contract

Belfast-based Portview has been awarded a £1.4million contract to fit out Harvey Nichols’ first standalone beauty store in Liverpool. Portview won the contract following a competitive tender and will be working with Four IV to transform the former Habitat store into a Beauty Bazaar offering premium cosmetic brands and services, plus a champagne and cocktail bar. The new 22,000 sq ft store is based on a format created by Four IV for Harvey Nichols Hong Kong and located in the heart of Liverpool’s fashion hub - Liverpool One.

Portview awarded £1.2 million Debenhams contract

Following a competitive tender, Debenhams has selected Portview to deliver a £1.2million refurbishment of its store in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. The project will be completed over a 20-week period, which will see the 90,000 sq ft store significantly modernised and upgraded to enhance the customer’s buying experience. Portview will refurbish the shop while it continues to trade, working through the night and using hoarding to ensure minimal disruption for shoppers.
