Lifetime achievement award for Suttons MD
The Group Managing Director of global logistics leader Suttons has been presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the North West.
Announcing the Award, Gavin Shannon, Chairman of the North West Region, described Andrew's commitment to and success in logistics in a career spanning 42 years.
Suttons, based in Cheshire, is now one of the UK's most successful, privately owned logistics providers with revenues forecast of £145 million and Group turnover growing by a third in the last two years.
Andrew Palmer, Suttons Group Managing Director said:
"It is always pleasing to receive recognition but I've been fortunate to have worked with some of the best people in the industry.
"There are exciting times ahead for the company which has recently joined with Arabian Chemical Terminals (ACT) to develop business opportunities in Saudi Arabia and adjacent Gulf States.
"We are also looking at how the company can best operate in other parts of the world to build on the success it's already had in Asia and Europe."
Suttons Arabia is due to start operating later this month.
